It is good to recognize where we feel safe.
Do you feel safe at home, at work, in your community, in our country—or how
about when you are traveling, in an unfamiliar place or in a foreign country?
You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or
the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He
will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. Proverbs 3:25-26
Safety and security bring peace of mind. I
find that security in God…knowing that He is always with me…and has promised
that He will not leave me or forsake me. Hebrews 13:5. I lock my doors at night…and
when I am gone, trusting that God will keep me—and my family—safe. There is an American proverb that says…It is
better to be safe than sorry. To me, that is kind of common sense—but I still
feel like I’m trusting God as I sleep securely in my home and travel down the
road with my doors locked. Knowing God is nearby providing security and
safety gives me peace of mind. He promised that He is our security. Do you feel
safe and secure?
