Promise of Truth

Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we don’t know where You are going, so how can we know the way” Jesus answered, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:5-6

Reenactment of the Last Supper
I AM...the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Jesus was chatting with His disciples, giving them a last lesson during His last Passover meal—the Last Supper before He was crucified. Just before this passage He had told them not to worry, He was going to have a room built for them in His Father’s house in Heaven. No worries about getting there. He Himself was the Way. If they believed in Him—He’d have a room waiting for them. Same goes for us.

He also declared Himself to be the Truth. He had already told them along with Jews who believed in Him…if you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. John 8:31-32. NASB. Know Jesus…know the truth. Are you seeking…looking for the truth in life?  Is there a hunger and thirst in your heart? God promises to give you your heart’s desire and to give you whatever you ask for. Seems pretty simple. God doesn’t make it hard for us—we’re the ones making excuses and building walls between us and God. Like Jericho…the walls for Him have come tumbling down. Do you see the Truth…or walls?
Prayer ~ Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth and the Life...for me. May others see Your truth in me and ask me about You.
