Resurrection?

For as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. John 20:9-10 

Peter and John saw the empty tomb, but the other disciples didn’t. Peter and John believed…but the others weren’t there and didn’t recall what Jesus had said before His death... I am the resurrection and the life….John 11:25. Those other disciples had been following Jesus for three years…and now He was gone…dead. They were discouraged…they lacked wisdom and understanding, so they retreated to the safety of their homes. When you are discouraged, where do you go? Is there somewhere you feel safe and secure…or people you want to be around for encouragement?  

RSVP: Safety and security are important for physical and spiritual beings. Jesus is offering you both…safety and security. How will you respond to Him today?  

Prayer ~ Thank You Jesus for revealing Yourself to me, to my family and friends that we don’t have to be discouraged like those other disciples. Use me to share Your love with others…that they too would be secure in their knowledge of You as Lord and Savior.
