Keep Looking

Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb. So she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him." John 20:1-2

Mary Magdalene couldn’t find Jesus. Do you ever feel that way? You can’t find Him. Keep looking and praying. Jesus taught about seeking in His Sermon on the Mount, and it is possible that He was repeating teaching from Deuteronomy.

·         …seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29

·         Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7.

So keep looking—searching. You will find Him…and then develop a relationship with Him. Get to know as much as you can about Jesus.

RSVP: Jesus is looking for you. Are you looking for Him? How will you respond to Him today?

Prayer ~ Jesus, just like the parable of the shepherd looking for that lost sheep, you are looking for Your lost followers—those who have gone astray. Thank you for searching for me…and bringing me back into Your herd of sheep. Guide me, my family, friends and neighbors as we continue to search for You with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. You are worthy of our love.
