I Have Written

The place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, so that many people could read it. Then the leading priests objected and said to Pilate, "Change it from 'The King of the Jews' to 'He said, I am King of the Jews.'" Pilate replied, "No, what I have written, I have written." John 19:20-22 NLT

Pilate wrote what he wrote…Jesus was The King of the Jews. The priests just didn’t want to accept it. They were looking for a political savior, not a spiritual savior. They just didn’t get it. They didn’t see the big picture. Heaven with Jesus seated at the right hand of God. It is hard to relive again the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Reading through the book of John we can’t ignore what Jesus did for each of us. We can turn aside and look at a more pleasant story—but this is real—Jesus’ sacrifice was real. Without it we would eventually have an eternal life of torment—in that lake of fire that is written about in the book of Revelation. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15. Do you know if your name is written in God’s Book of Life?  He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I (John) have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:12-13.

RSVP: Jesus has offered Himself as the sacrifice for the sin of the world. How will you respond to Him today? If your name is in God’s Book of Life, will you share Jesus’ message with others that their names will be written there by yours?

Prayer ~ Jesus, You were born “King of the Jews” as the Wise Men said when they came to worship You. (Matthew 2:2) You died “King of the Jews” as Pilate’s sign stated on Your cross. You are my King and I worship You.

Happy 1st Birthday to Aaron!
Blessings little big guy!
