Trust in the Lord…and Do Good

Prayer – Lord – Thank You for Your Mercy—always providing for us no matter what the circumstances.

Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires. Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper—it only leads to harm. For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the LORD will possess the land. Psalm 37:3-9

Meditate. Read God’s word today and listen to what He is saying.

No fear…no trembling! Well—I just wish I could claim that when I recently had a tire blow out while I was driving our pick-up truck on our cross-country trip. That was a scary ordeal! Shake, rattle, and sway. Thankfully, no rolling! Three and a half hours later we were back on the road again, but I was still shaking. I don’t think I’ll ever drive by remnants of tires on the Interstate highways without praying for those people who experienced that! God in His mercy protected us. He certainly gave us our hearts desire…after the fact. We were safe from all harm of the countless semi-trucks that sped by us as we sat in the heat waiting to be rescued. Have you ever had to trust in the Lord…no fear. No trembling?

Yes. Trust in the Lord—and you will live safely.

Verse of Salvation ~ Cry out, "Save us, O God of our salvation! Gather and rescue us from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you." 1 Chronicles 16:35

The Lord is my light...and my salvation.

Memory Verse of the Week ~ The LORD is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?
Psalm 27:1

Did you memorize this verse? No fear! No trembling!
