Prayer – Lord Jesus, show me how I can be of use to You in the harvest. The fields are ripe—where are the harvesters? I am looking forward to the joy that all Christians will experience when even one new Christian is saved. May we rejoice with You as we too are filled with this spiritual nourishment by doing the will of God.
Then Jesus explained: "My nourishment comes from
doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work. You know the
saying, 'Four months between planting and harvest.' But I say, wake up and look
around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. The harvesters are paid good
wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy
awaits both the planter and the harvester alike! You know the saying, 'One
plants and another harvests.' And it's true. I sent you to harvest where you
didn't plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather
the harvest." John 4:34-38

now that you have had a taste of the Lord's kindness. 1 Peter 2:1-3
Taste of the Lord’s kindness. What a great experience that is. Kindness…like the other elements of the Fruit of the Spirit…is encouraging and to be highly valued. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, as found in Galatians 5:22-23, are all qualities after which we should strive just because they are associated with the Holy Spirit…and should be part of the “nourishment” that we want. That is the spiritual “nourishment” that Jesus Christ provides for those
