Prayer – Lord, hear my prayer. You are my shepherd. I
trust You to take care of me.
A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I have all
that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful
streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor
to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by
anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness
and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in
the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:1-6Sheep grazing in Israel.
Meditate. Consider God’s guidance in scripture. Read God’s
word and listen to what He is saying.
The Lord is my Shepherd. What is a shepherd to you? Is
Jesus your shepherd?
Verses of Salvation ~ We can rejoice, too, when we run
into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And
endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our
confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For
we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to
fill our hearts with his love. When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at
just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be
willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing
to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for
us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:3-8
