Whose Names are in the Book of Life?

Meditate.

And I ask you, my true partner, to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life. Philippians 4:3

Whose Names are in the Book of Life? Here Paul is describing two ladies who have helped him spread the Good News. You would think that those ladies would believe in Jesus as their Savior and thus their names would surely be written in the Book of Life, but Paul implies that their names are not written in that Book along with his other co-workers. Just whose names are in the Book of Life? Jesus described some of those in the letter to the church at Sardis in the book of Revelation.

Yet there are some in the church in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes with evil. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine. Revelation 3:4-5

Those who love, honor and obey Jesus and His commandments—repent and call on Him to forgive their sins—are the ones whose names are written in the Book of Life.

Is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?

Prayer ~ Lord God, I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I trust You that my name is written in Your Book of Life. Thank You for the opportunity of salvation.

Verse of Salvation ~ For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. Titus 2:11-13

Bible Trivia Answer to the Question: Who will be standing on the Mount of Olives when it splits?JESUS!

Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations, as he has fought in times past. On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem. And the Mount of Olives will split apart, making a wide valley running from east to west. Half the mountain will move toward the north and half toward the south. Zechariah 14:3-4
