Meditate.
All praise to God, the
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been
born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with
great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is
kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and
decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you
receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all
to see. So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to
endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith
is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--though your
faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong
through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the
day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. You love him even though
you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you
rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 1 Peter 1:3-8
Be glad and find joy in your life—despite the fact that you have to endure many trials for a little while. The rapture didn’t happen. Maybe next year? In the meantime…don’t give up hope. Don’t be deceived by false teachings. Read and study God’s word…the Bible…for yourself. The trials and persecution that you will face will be easier to face IF you trust in the Lord with all your heart.
And God will use this persecution to show his justice and
to make you worthy of his Kingdom, for which you are suffering. In his justice
he will pay back those who persecute you. And God will provide rest for you who
are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven.
He will come with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, bringing judgment on
those who don't know God and on those who refuse to obey the Good News of our
Lord Jesus. 2 Thessalonians 1:5-8
Faith is important. Believing in what you can’t see…that Jesus in the spiritual realm is powerful. This is a spiritual battle that is raging around our world, but Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings. He loved you enough to die for you…so He loves you enough to care about you through the trials, tribulations and even persecution that you will or are facing. Have hope. Trust Him.
Prayer ~ Lord God, I long to hear…your praise. 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!' Matthew 25:21
Verses of Salvation ~ The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls. This salvation was something even the prophets wanted to know more about when they prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you. - 1 Peter 1:9-10
