Meditate.
Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord's return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near. James 5:7-8
Be patient. Persevere and longsuffering.
Don’t lose heart. Hang in there. Jesus has promised that He will return… I will come and get you….
Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in
God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home.
If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place
for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will
always be with me where I am. John 14:1-3
It was the Jewish custom for the bridegroom
to add a room or more onto his father’s house when the couple was
betrothed. When the father of the home,
not the bridegroom, decided that the new home was ready for the bride the
wedding would take place. Then the couple would move into their new abode. So
Jesus has gone to build a new home for His bride, the church…those who believe
in Him as Savior. This new home will be adjacent to His Father’s house in
Heaven and as soon as it is ready god the Father will call His bride to come to
the wedding feast and the new home. I can hardly wait! But of course, we are told to be
patient.
Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and
courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. Psalm 27:14
Balloonists wait patiently to lift off.
The weather and wind must be just right.
Can you wait patiently?
Wait for the Lord to return.
This vision is for a future time. It
describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait
patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Habakkuk
2:3
Wait patiently. So that’s what we have to do. Can you do that?
Prayer ~ Dear God, when I make a promise to God You, I won't delay in following through, for You, dear God, take no pleasure in fools. I will keep all the promises I make to You. From Ecclesiastes 5:4
Verse of Salvation ~ "And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!" Luke 21:25-28
Salvation is near…nearer than you may think. Look around you.
