Are You Desperate for the Lord?

Meditate.

What will Judgment Day look like?
Red sky in the morning...sailor take warning.

Now prophesy all these things, and say to them, "The LORD will roar against his own land from his holy dwelling in heaven. He will shout like those who tread grapes; he will shout against everyone on earth. His cry of judgment will reach the ends of the earth, for the LORD will bring his case against all the nations. He will judge all the people of the earth, slaughtering the wicked with the sword. I, the LORD, have spoken!" This is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies says: "Look! Disaster will fall upon nation after nation! A great whirlwind of fury is rising from the most distant corners of the earth!" Jeremiah 25:30-32

Disaster and Judgment. Not a very hopeful future.

What does your day look like—what is your new normal becoming? What is in your future?

My day centers around washing, cooking, eating, Bible study and blogging, reading, eating, napping, more cooking and eating, then maybe reading or vegging in front of the television. Not much interaction with others. I’m an introvert, so this is no problem for me. I just need to add some time spent de-cluttering/cleaning and of course, walking or exercising. In some recent decluttering efforts I’ve gone through old notebooks and here are a few things that caught my attention:

Are you desperate for the Lord?

I can’t stand the thought of _______going to Hell.

Turn the other cheek. In Jesus day that meant using both hands. Humiliating.

In the book of Ruth, Naomi asked…May the Lord deal kindly with you as you have dealt with me. Show love.

How are others judging you…how are you judging yourself? God is the ultimate judge.

Prayer ~ Lord God, I thank you that there is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. (John 3:18). I treasure Your mercy and am grateful to Jesus for obediently taking the sins of mankind to the cross for each of us.

Verses of Salvation ~ God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.  John 3:17-21
