Meditate.
Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God--truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:21-24
Be renewed. The Holy Spirit came into individual—while they were all together—on that day of Pentecost. They each experienced the infilling of the Holy Spirit—and then they continued in unity to serve each other. That is what the church is all about—serving others—being the hands and feet of the Lord Himself. Paul expressed it well in several books as he was teaching the believers throughout the Roman Empire. Even when he was in prison, he wrote to churches to encourage and admonish them on how they should live and love others. The same message that Jesus taught…love God, love one another…treat others the way you want to be treated.
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord,
beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.
Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for
each other's faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves
united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one
body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the
future. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father, who
is over all and in all and living through all. Ephesians 4:1-6
As you remain in “isolation” for yet a few more days, are you finding ways that you can serve others? Are you regarding others the way you want to be treated?
New Life...New Hope, Joy and Peace |
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
That hope is in the eternal salvation that comes from knowing Jesus as our Savior. Have you decided to follow Jesus?
