Destined to Die

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.  Hebrews 9:27-28

Everyone is destined to die. No one--rich or poor--can escape death. No on can buy their way into heaven either. Some religions offer the opportunity for people to give a donation to reduce the punishment of their sins--but it just seems like a way for that church to gain income from some people feeling guilty. There are jokes out there about people trying to buy their way to heaven...or wanting to take a gold brick with them--but the streets are paved with gold--so that is like cement or asphalt here. Not worth much.
The twelve gates were made of pearls--each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass.  Revelation 21:21

A couple of months ago when I felt impressed to blog about death, I wasn't expecting to have people around me die...but such is life. We are destined to die. Be sure to keep your account short--keep prayed up. We never know when God will call us home--or a relative near or far...or a work associate or friend. Have you told your loved ones that you love them today? Let those you care about know that you care. Do they know that God loves them?
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

Prayer ~ Dear Jesus, thank you for giving up your life--being the sacrifice for our sin, that we by believing in You we will have eternal life. Help,us to be prepared every day for our destiny--death.

Water Lily - in honor of Tamela.
Photo taken on Robert & Tamela's wedding day near Detroit Michigan.
Beautiful blossom won't last forever.
Unlike us, the lily has no soul and cannot accept Jesus as their Savior...
and have eternal life.
You can choose. Choose Jesus.
