Remind everyone about these things…what
things?
The verses before this are concerning being
a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Be
strong in the grace of Christ Jesus.
Be
willing to suffer hardships for Christ.
Be
dedicated to Christ.
For
if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him;
If we
endure, we shall also reign with Him;
If we
deny Him, He also will deny us;
If we
are faithless, He remains faithful; for He cannot deny Himself. 2 Timothy 2:11-13 NASB
So this is that which we are to remind…or
even teach others. Don’t argue or quarrel over words. That would make satan oh
so happy. He would be pleased for us to get our eyes off Christ and get
nit-picky over words rather than following Jesus’ teaching…love one another.
Can
others see in you strength of grace…the unmerited favor…of Christ?
Are you a living example of Christ’s love?
Are
you willing to sacrifice your time and give of your talents to help others?
When was the last time you helped a person
in your church, gave them a call or took over a meal? Is that a hardship for
you?
Are
you dedicated to Christ?
Do you read His word every day…or do you
just go to church on Sunday, hoping to catch a few pointers from the Pastor? Work
hard, diligently, at learning what Jesus taught, make that part of your daily
routine, and then explain it to others. To whom would you teach…or explain
Jesus’ instructions? Whoever is around you will be able to see how you live.
Prayer
~ Lord Jesus, Give us grace to use words that explain Your truths and encourage
others. Guide our hearts, thoughts, words and actions that all that we think,
say and do would be pleasing to You. Please give us courage to suffer…if
necessary…for You. We know that You didn’t promise that everything would be
perfect for us…but that You would never leave us or forsake us. For that we are
humbly grateful.
Happy Birthday...to niece Vicki--at home in Heaven!
