Purity – A Clean Heart

Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous—possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God! Matthew 5:8 Amplified

Pure in heart—clean, sincere, or clear. That’s how we must be before God. He cannot have any sin or impurity in His presence, so we must be washed as white as snow. Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool. Isaiah 1:18

Can we actually be pure before God? Can mankind be just before God? Can a man be pure before his Maker? Job 4:17. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. Yes—we can be pure. As Paul wrote to the church at Thessalonica…Now may our God and Father Himself and Jesus our Lord direct our way to you; and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13. May we be found holy and pure when Christ returns. Keep your account short—be prayed up daily.

RSVP:  Jesus, thank You for offering us purity. Hearts purified by Your sacrifice. How will you respond to Him today?

Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, by the mercies of God, to present my bodies a living and holy sacrifice, may it be acceptable to God, as my spiritual service of worship. Romans 12:1.
