With What is Your Life Filled?

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. But there are some of you who do not believe” (Jesus words). For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him.  John 6:63-65

Life. Spiritual life. It is this spiritual life that gives our lives meaning…and abundance. In John 10:10 Jesus said, “I have come that they might have life, and have it abundantly!” Sometimes I wonder if my life could have more meaning…I have hope—hope for the future…but day to day sometimes I’m clouded in apathy. Do you ever feel that way? Apathetic?  That is really a pathetic way for a Christian to feel. Jesus knows that I believe in Him…as it says in this scripture passage. He has known from the beginning of time who would believe in Him…and who wouldn’t. God has given us free will—the power to make our own choices. We can choose to be apathetic…or choose life…and live it abundantly. Fully for the Lord.

RSVP: Jesus is calling us to choose life—spiritual life in Him. How will you respond to His call today?

Prayer~ Dear Jesus, I choose life—filled to the brim, overflowing with Your love and grace. May You fill me with Your Holy Spirit and cast out any apathy I may feel, for life filled with You should be filled with joy—not apathy.
