Do You Search for Messiah?

And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form. "You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent. "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life. John 5:37-40

Jesus was speaking to Jews, Pharisees in particular, who did not see or seek Him as Messiah. Do His words ring true in your life? Are you searching the Scriptures for eternal life? Remember that the Jews in Jesus' time only had the Old Testament. Hidden within the Old Testament are glimpses of prophesy and the truth revealed that the Son of God would come to save mankind from their sins...but Jesus was speaking to the Jews who were looking tfor a political savior, not a spiritual savior. Are you looking for a spiritual savior today?

RSVP: Jesus is offering us an invitation to listen to His words...to seek Him as our Savior. HOw will you respond to Him today?

Prayer~ Lord Jesus, I hear You speaking to me and I give You my attention today--turning off the distractions, like TV, sports, novels, movies and games that I can focus on You. You are worthy of my time and attention.
