Try Again – How’s Your Attitude?

Memory Verse:
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28

One more try at memorization. Repeat this three times out loud.
And we know that
God causes everything to work together
for the good of those
who love God
and are called
according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28

Do you love God? Can you claim this verse and apply it to your life? Can you see what God has done to cause everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for you? Can you tell someone what God has done?

My greatest God siting—giving me an opportunity to tell you what God has done for me lately—is a change in my attitude. I’ve been grumpy and out of sorts lately and although I find myself blaming it on anxiety associated with medication that I took several months ago for a viral bronchitis, it is really just poor choices. I can choose to be happy, content, and satisfied with myself as days go by and I’m getting older…or I can choose to be unhappy, bitter and discontented with life. Moment by moment the choices add up…and can create dissatisfaction. No escaping into the latest TV binge watching can take away that poor attitude with the cloud of disappointment and dissatisfaction that hovers over my head. But God is good. He has given me hope—and a contentment that repeatedly reminds me that He loves me…enough to care about my daily unmet expectations in such a way that those seemingly minuscule disappointments don’t become overwhelming disasters that could drive me into days of depression. I had to write this to totally see God in action. Yep. God is good. He has created hope and joy in my life.

Prayer ~ Lord God, we know that You cause everything to work together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose for them. Romans 8:28. Keep on working in our lives…and thank you for my attitude adjustment.
