Memory Verse:
Always
be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Philippians 4:4
Always….
Not just
sometime…not just occasionally…but ALWAYS. Can we do that? Always—constantly—is
a big commitment. There are 239 verses
in the Bible (NLT) that contain the word always.
That is a lot of continually doing something. It is forever. We can look
forward to an eternity…always. Jesus spoke using that term always and so did the Apostle Paul.
One day Jesus said to his disciples, "There
will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who
does the tempting! Luke 17:1
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show
that they should always pray and never give up. Luke 18:1
But Jesus replied, "My Father is always
working, and so am I." John 5:17
Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We
are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we
have everything. 2 Corinthians 6:10
Always is a long time. Is there time without the sun? |
Always…have temptation. Always pray. Always working. Always have joy. What great teaching messages from Jesus and from
Paul to the Christians in Philippi and Corinth. We should never give up.
Remember that word…always.
Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God. I will
always rejoice in Your love and presence in my life. Thank You for Your direction,
teaching and caring compassion.
