God is love. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1
John 4:8. Unchanging love.
People can be so fickle…love sometimes and
not at other times. Hmmm. Why do they do that…feel that way? And people hold
anger for years…even after they’ve supposedly forgiven…they are still angry.
What’s with that? How do you deal with anger? God doesn’t hold onto anger. He
is so good. What an example. The Holy Spirit gave us good advice through Paul’s
letter to the Ephesians. Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the
sun go down on your anger….Ephesians 4:26. It is OK to be angry—to get mad,
but don’t let it go on all day. Settle it before the day is done. That is
always my advice to young married couples. Anger happens. Deal with it—talk it
out. Don’t hold it in. Delight God with the unchanging love that you have deep
within your heart for God and that one with whom you’ve been angry.
Prayer
~ Dear God—I praise You for Your unchanging love…and caring attitude—one that doesn’t
hold onto anger.
