The Holy Spirit is omnipotent. He has
unlimited power and can do anything! Here the angel Gabriel is telling Mary
that she will become the mother of Jesus…the Son of God. The Holy Spirit makes
it happen…only after Mary agrees that she is willing. The Holy Spirit is a
gentleman. He doesn’t force Himself on Mary—or on us. We have free will—to choose
to have God work in our lives. Sometimes things happen—rotten things. It may be
the consequences of our own actions…or the result of other’s choices that just
involve us. Whatever. But that doesn’t
mean that God caused them. He is omnipotent—but we can trust Him to care about
us, too. To love us right where we are. God is love. He appreciates hearing
that we love Him…just as much as we appreciate hearing that He loves us. His
love is all powerful. Can you trust Him? Pray about it.
Prayer
~ Holy Spirit, I trust You to work in my life—to love others through me. I love
You with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength. You are worthy of my love.
As others pray—show them deeper truths and love that You have for them…for all
of us.
