God knows us totally and completely…but we
only know what He reveals about Himself to us. The Holy Spirit works in and
through us giving us wisdom and insight—but I don’t think we’ll truly know God
until we get to Heaven. Belonging to an omniscient God is sometimes a bit humbling.
Sometimes I feel unworthy to be a part of God’s family—for Him to know me so
well. Then I am reminded…For by grace you
have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift
of God—not because of works, lest any man
(or woman) should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. What a gift He has given me…given
us. To know of God is good knowledge to have. To know God personally is truly a
bountiful gift—overflowing with love and mercy. When you love someone…and they
love you…you want to know everything about them. You want to share your
lives—together. To know God—including the Holy Spirit—better, we need to spend
time in His Word. That has a familiar ring to it. Know God through His Word.
Plan today to spend time with Him—The love of your life.
Prayer
~ Holy Spirit, help me to arrange my day, my time, to always have time for
You—to know You more fully. Please give me insight to understand and truly know
know…not just have head knowledge of You. Give me wisdom to apply and share
that knowledge with others—that they can be filled with Your love, too.
Special Blessings on Elizabeth and Ben
on Their Wedding Day!
May they always seek God ---together.
