Forty-three years ago today I did adorn my
hair with flowers, wore a lovely long white gown and received from my sweet
husband a gold band wedding band. That was outward adornment. The inward
adornment in my heart has grown and changed over the years…and I’ve been
pleasantly surprised that some people see within me a gentle and quiet spirit.
I still see some rebellion that God is dealing with within me…but I have grown
and matured in the Lord—with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. God is good—He is
the precious one in my life. His imperishable quality of love is what encourages
me—so that I can encourage others. I see that as one of my gifts of the
Spirit—encouragement. May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart
be acceptable to You, Lord. Always. When You return, Jesus, I want my thoughts
to be Your thoughts…and my words and actions to be pleasing—not to men, but to
You. If I am alive on earth when the Day of the Lord happens, I want to be
found doing something honorable in Your Sight. How about you?
Prayer
~ Holy Spirit, continue to work in my heart and life that I would think, say
and do pleasing things…and be adorned with a quiet spirit that is precious to
You.
Happy 43rd Anniversary to my
sweet Honey!
