I’ve been blogging about the Holy Spirit
this year…and it is about time to step back and consider the Qualities of the
Holy Spirit. Of course He is part of God…so He has the God qualities of
Omniscient, Omnipresent, Immutable, Omnificent, Eternal, Truth, and Love. In
addition, Galatians 5:22-23 gives us a list of the fruit of the Spirit…But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of
fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these
things! Galatians 5:22-23 NLT. These qualities are the fruit--the resultant behavior--that is
produced in those who live holy lives before the Lord. Holiness is not an
option…it is a command…As obedient
children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your
ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also
in all your behavior; because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM
HOLY." - 1 Peter 1:14-16.
So live your love…and be holy.
Prayer
~ Holy Spirit, open our eyes that we may see You more completely and guide us
in all that we think, say and do to live our lives holy producing the fruit of
Your Spirit.
