Stuff—Is it Holy?

All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. John 16:15 

God the Father shared generously with His Son, Jesus. Everything that is His, is also Jesus’. God gave the universe and everything in it to Jesus to create—including man. All time—all dimensions of life—physical and spiritual—belongs to Jesus…and will be shown to us…in His time. We could not possible know everything at once. It would be overwhelming.  Just enough for us to comprehend—just enough for us to use, maintain, and enjoy. Although, if we have our priorities out of line, do we get too much stuff that we can’t possibly use, maintain or enjoy it all? How many of us have storage units, garages, or spare closets full of stuff? Are you waiting for the Storage Wars to begin? Do you want more? Jesus didn’t want more “stuff.” Everything belongs to Him. 

RSVP: Jesus is telling us that everything that the Father has is His. What difference does that make in your life? How will you respond to Jesus today? 

Prayer ~ Jesus, since everything that belongs to the Father, belongs to You, I belong to You, too. So does everything that I consider that I “own.” It is all Yours. Bless it and use it to Your glory. Show me what it is that You want to do with it.
