Even before
He went to the cross, Jesus acknowledged that He had accomplished the work that
god the Father had given Him to do. Jesus knew what He came to do—to give glory
to the Father as the blind received
sight, the lame walked, the lepers were cleansed, and the deaf received their hearing,
the dead were raised up, and the poor had the gospel preached to them. Luke
7:22. Jesus taught the disciples about His Father and they kept His word. Does that
mean that they followed the Ten Commandments? That is God’s Word…as is Jesus commandment to love the Lord our God
with all our heart, soul, mind and strength…and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
That is a big accomplishment. Can we say that about ourselves?
RSVP: Jesus is giving God glory. Can you do the same? How will
you respond to Him today?
Prayer ~ Jesus, You taught Your disciples and us to
pray… this way: Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your
kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our
debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For
Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13.We
give God the glory!
