Prayer – Lord, it is wonderful to know that You are preparing a place—a home for us in Heaven—in Your Father’s own house! No anxiety now knowing of the security and future You are providing! Not only a home…but the promise that You will come again, get us, and take us to be with You forever. Hallelujah!
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in
God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not
so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that
where I am, there you may be also. John 14:1-3 NKJV
Meditate. Consider God’s home in Heaven.
Have you ever considered that you can live forever in our
Father’s house just like Jesus promised?
One of my most favorite memories of my granddaughter Julia
is a day that she came racing out of her house and asked me, “Do you know that
Jesus is making a home for each of us in Heaven? I hope that my home is next
door to your home so we can visit, and paint, and sing together a lot!” Precious
words from a then six-year-old. She is turning nine today!
My home in winter. Not a mansion here! What will my home in heaven be like? We probably won't have snow in Heaven! |
And
we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a
foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin
and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us
our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has
promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have
something, we don't need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we
don't yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.) Romans 8:23-25 NLT
We have the promise of being adopted into
God’s family and of permanent home in Heaven. What more could we want? Do you
belong to God’s family? Is there a place for you in the Father’s house?
Verse of Salvation ~ (Solomon’s prayer in dedication
of the Temple built for God.) "Now, my God, I pray, let Your eyes be
open and let Your ears be attentive to the prayer made in this place. Now
therefore, Arise, O LORD God, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your
strength. Let Your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, And let Your
saints rejoice in goodness. O LORD God, do not turn away the face of Your
Anointed; Remember the mercies of Your servant David." 2 Chronicles
