Prayer – Lord, You are the Way, the Truth and the Life.
I choose You, Lord, and Your Way. I will walk with You…forever.
Zion at Jerusalem. Israel. |
Meditate. Choose to listen to God’s word.
Are you listening? What are you hearing?
When a person listens to someone, they don’t always hear
precisely what is being said. There is a communication technique that was popular
for parents to use with their teens and I’ve used with all ages called Active
Listening. You simply echo back to the person speaking what you heard them
saying. It makes the listener pay attention to the person talking…and not focus
on their own thoughts so that they don’t even hear the speaker. My mind runs
ahead of myself all the time, so I really have focus on the person to whom I’m
listening.
So, as Isaiah wrote. Listen. Hear the words of your
teachers…assumed to be words from God. The words come behind you telling you which
way to turn. Listen closely. Turn to the right or the left…just as you are
told. Be like Jesus, be obedient. Walk in the way that you are told to walk. This
is the way, walk in it.
Verse of Salvation ~ Finally then, brethren, we urge and
exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you
received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what
commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-2 NKJV
