Who In The World Can Be Saved?

 Meditate.

Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!" This amazed them. But Jesus said again, "Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God. In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!" The disciples were astounded. "Then who in the world can be saved?" they asked. Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God." Mark 10:23-27

Gate in an old rebuilt section of the wall.
Jerusalem.

The eye of a needle? That would be impossible…but in Jesus time there was a very small special gate in the wall around Jerusalem that would allow travelers to enter the city when the main gates were shut for the night. That gate was narrow so as to allow only one person to enter at ta time…and a camel would have to kneel down and literally crawl through the gate. That was a difficult task, but not impossible. As Jesus reminded His disciples, “Everything is possible with God.” This is the same adage can be considered when we think about Abraham.

Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. And because of Abraham's faith, God counted him as righteous. And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn't just for Abraham's benefit. It was recorded for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God. Romans 4:20-25

Abraham’s faith grew stronger…even when he had to wait for God’s promise. God has promised to all who believe in His Son Jesus Christ as their Savior.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

Who can be saved?  Anyone who believes. “Everything is possible with God.”

Where are you today in your relationship with the Lord God?

Prayer ~ Lord God—I believe in You Jesus as my God and my Savior. You are the Son of the living God.

Verses of Salvation ~ Statement by John the Baptist.

"He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. We are of the earth, and we speak of earthly things, but he has come from heaven and is greater than anyone else. He testifies about what he has seen and heard, but how few believe what he tells them! Anyone who accepts his testimony can affirm that God is true. For he is sent by God. He speaks God's words, for God gives him the Spirit without limit. The Father loves his Son and has put everything into his hands. And anyone who believes in God's Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn't obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God's angry judgment." John 3:31-36 (Underlined for emphasis.)
