Meditate. Picture Jesus riding on a donkey entering Jerusalem on what we celebrate as Palm Sunday. What would you call out to Him?
As he rode along, the crowds
spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. When he reached the place
where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to
shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful
miracles they had seen. "Blessings on the King who comes in the name of
the LORD! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!" Luke
19:36-38
Donkey Near the Mt. of Olives Jerusalem |
The people of Jerusalem and all of
Israel were looking for a King to rule over Israel instead of the Roman rulers
that were so oppressively ruling them. They saw Jesus as their political Savior—one
who could save them from the Roman tyranny. They didn’t see Him as the
Spiritual King that He was…and is. King of kings. King of the spiritual realm
of life.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because
we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and
chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in
advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus
Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we
praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his
dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom
with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on
us, along with all wisdom and understanding. Ephesians 1:3-8
Bask in the blessing of life—the spiritual
life.
Prayer ~ I praise You Heavenly Father God—for the blessings You have given us in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. I feel so privileged to be adopted into Your family. Please continue to shower me with wisdom and understanding that I would comprehend the spiritual realm in which You dwell.
Verse of Salvation ~ God, for
whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into
glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering,
a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation. Hebrews 2:10
