So
God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms
in the water, and every sort of bird—each producing offspring of the same kind.
And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:21
Memory Scripture of the Week –
Genesis 1:20
Then God said, "Let the waters swarm with fish and other life. Let
the skies be filled with birds of every kind."
Genesis 1:21 So
God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms
in the water, and every sort of bird--each producing offspring of the same
kind. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:22-23
Then God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply. Let the
fish fill the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth." And evening
passed and morning came, marking the fifth day.
Genesis 1:24
Then God said, "Let the earth produce every sort of animal, each
producing offspring of the same kind--livestock, small animals that scurry
along the ground, and wild animals." And that is what happened.
Genesis 1:25
God made all sorts of wild animals, livestock, and small animals, each
able to produce offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, "Let us make human beings in our image, to be like
us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock,
all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the
ground."
Genesis 1:27
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he
created them; male and female he created them.
Great sea creatures. We’ve all seen photos of all sorts of whales and
manatees as well as other sea creatures that are rare and unbelievably
different. Have you actually seen them in real life...in nature. I was blessed a few years ago to go on an Alaskan Cruise with my
husband and some friends. One of the excursions that we went on was a whale
watching trip. Oh my! It was so awesome. We saw a great gray whale breach—jumping
almost entirely out of the water. It was so amazing! Very memorable!

Then there
are birds—every sort of bird—large and
small. I happen to live in the migratory path of the great Sandhill Cranes. Several
years in a row we’ve gone out to a swampy area about twenty minutes from our
home so see the large birds feeding and resting on their way north. We’ve taken
our grandchildren out to see those super birds. Holding cameras and binoculars
up to their little faces—they were amazed. Back at home our grandson even
painted a picture of one of the large cranes.
Nice work.
God has created such a great variety of birds. Large to small. We also happen to live in an area where hummingbirds migrate, breed and within the state of Washington, actually winter or live year round. I remember the first time I saw a hummingbird, I thought it was a moth—but no it was a bird—a little hummer! God certainly did create an immense variety of birds.

Once again…God saw that it was good. He was pleased
with His creation of a variety of birds and fish. Awesome!
Prayer ~ Lord Jesus...Thank You for Your
amazing creation of the great sea creatures and all the birds. It was good.
