Who is Your Lord?

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Who is your Lord? Here in the United States we don’t have Lords and Kings ruling over us politically. We have a President…Governors, Mayors. Other nations are governed by Presidents, Kings, Queens, Princes, Prime Ministers, Sultans, Sheikh, Supreme Leader, State Counselor or Grand Chancellors. These are political leaders over geographical areas. The entire world is also “governed” by spiritual forces. Jesus, in the form of the Holy Spirit as God, inspires good in the world. Satan, also known as the Prince of the World, influences evil throughout the world.  To whom would you bow down, spiritually? Jesus or Satan?

Reminding us of Jesus...and His crown of thorns.
Lord of lords...King of kings.
When Jesus was speaking to His disciples on their last evening together He explained to them about the Holy Spirit…also known as the Advocate or the Counselor. He also told them about the ruler of this world, also known to all as Satan, the Accuser, or the Prince of the World.
But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don't, the Advocate won't come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God's righteousness, and of the coming judgment. The world's sin is that it refuses to believe in me. Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more. Judgment will come because the ruler of this world has already been judged. John 16:7-11
Jesus is our gift from God. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23. There is no better gift in my opinion than that of eternal life. Actually as I understand it…we will all live eternally. Some with God and some without Him. Personally, I want to be in the group that lives with God. To live apart from Him is going to be miserable, what with the gnashing of teeth and the lake of fire. I don’t want either of those. I want the peace, joy and love associated with Heaven and with being in the presence of God. The Book of Revelation tells us about Jesus as the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. ... On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords. Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, shouting to the vultures flying high in the sky: "Come! Gather together for the great banquet God has prepared. Revelation 19:11, 16-17
In heaven we will be in the presence of the Lord…but we don’t have to wait until then. We can come into His presence now. This is the basis of our “relationship” with Him and it should give us great joy.
How we thank God for you! Because of you we have great joy as we enter God's presence.
1 Thessalonians 3:9
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23. Seek God first in your life…and accept His free gift for you. Can Jesus Christ be Lord of your life? Who is Your Lord?

Prayer ~ Lord God, thank you for Your gift of eternal life for each of us who believe that Jesus Christ died for us. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23. You are my Lord.
