Call on the Lord

The LORD is close to all who call on Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth. He grants the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cries for help and rescues them. The LORD protects all those who love Him, but He destroys the wicked. I will praise the LORD, and may everyone on earth bless His holy name forever and ever. Psalm 145:18-21

Bless the Lord, O my soul…and all that is within me bless His holy name.

What are these verses in Psalms 145 telling us?

-          Call on the Lord—He’s close. Remember He promised to never leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5.

-          God gives us the desires of our hearts. Watch out what you wish for.

-          God protects and rescues those who love Him. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Mark 12:30.

-          Praise the Lord. Give Him the glory and honor due Him. He already loves you. For God so loved the world…John 3:16.

Call on the Lord—He wants you to depend on Him—to love and honor Him. That is what He created us for. For fellowship.

Prayer ~ Lord God, I want to spend more time with You every day.

You are worthy of my praise—and I want to honor You in all that I think, say and do.
