I said to myself, "Come on, let's try
pleasure. Let's look for the 'good things' in life." But I found that
this, too, was meaningless. So I said, "Laughter is silly. What good does
it do to seek pleasure?" Ecclesiastes 2:1-2
Laughter
is silly. But isn’t that the point of laughing—to enjoy some silliness in
life? Laughter is such good medicine—it actually exercises the abdominal
muscles. People look for comedy movies—searching to be “entertained” and have a
few laughs–but what if…they searched for God and His wisdom instead? Would they
find laughter…entertainment…escape from the ho-humdrums of life? Do I? Do you?

Prayer
~ Dear Lord—Thank you for the good things You’ve so generously given me in my
life. Food, family, friends—but most of all Your love and compassion.
