Obey Him?

They became very much afraid and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?" Mark 4:41

They were all amazed, so that they debated among themselves, saying, "What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him." Mark 1:27  

Obey Him? The wind and the sea obeyed Jesus. Even the evil spirits recognized who Jesus was and obeyed Him. Do people today know Jesus and obey Him? There is so much incentive to know Jesus and obey Him—but do we? To know Jesus doesn’t promise us that we’ll not have problems—but He promises to be with us always—and to help us with our problems. To know Jesus—to have a relationship with Him—does promise us eternal life with Him. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3:36 What better incentive to believe in Him—to obey him!
