Joy to the World

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:8-11

Joy to the World—joy to every boy and girl. Joy—heartfelt joy—overflowing with rejoicing. Joy in sadness and happiness.
·         But let all who take refuge in You be glad, let them ever sing for joy; and may You shelter them, that those who love Your name may exult in You. Psalm 5:11
·         You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Psalm 16:11
·         Let the nations be glad and sing for joy; for You will judge the peoples with uprightness and guide the nations on the earth. Psalm 67:4
Let the joy fill your heart and life. Are you content with your life as it is now? Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. Philippians 4:11.

Are you like His disciples…And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52.

I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4

RSVP: Jesus is inviting you to be filled with joy as you celebrate His birthday. How will you respond to Him today?

Prayer ~Dear Jesus… I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4. Thank You, Jesus, for revealing Yourself to my children and grandchildren—it is joy to my heart to know that they know and love You. Please continue to bless them…and give them wisdom and understanding that they would know You more fully and be filled with joy!

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy….Jude 1:24.
