Prayer – Lord, I’ll take more of Your peace any time! Pour it out on me—and give me the grace to share it with others.
But
the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There
is no law against these things! Galatians
5:22-23 NLT
Meditate.
Consider God’s peace.
Peace. An
inner contentment of tranquility, harmony, rest, and safety. Peace can even
indicate a way to salvation. It is certainly a gift of the Holy Spirit. Here
are some verses to provide food for thought.Peace - A Gift of the Holy Spirit
For the Kingdom of God is not a
matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and
joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans
14:17 NLT
Now may the God of peace make you
holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept
blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 NLT
God the Father knew you and chose
you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed
him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more
and more grace and peace. 1
Peter 1:2 NLT
Jesus
left His disciples, and us, words of comfort—and His gift of peace. This was
part of His teaching at the Last Supper and if you recall, when Jesus first saw
them again in the Upper Room after His resurrection, He spoke to them…Peace
be with you. John 20:19.
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of
mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't
be troubled or afraid. Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will
come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am
going to the Father, who is greater than I am. John 14:27-28 NLT
Peace.
What a great gift! Can we give peace to others? Like other gifts, we have to
have it ourselves to give it away. By extending our love, acceptance,
forgiveness, and encouragement, we can convey the peace of God to those around
us.
Verse
of Salvation ~ All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by
his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ
from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless
inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled,
beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting
you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be
revealed on the last day for all to see. 1 Peter 1:3-5 NLT
