Prayer
– Lord Jesus, You always made good choices—obedient to Your Heavenly Father.
Help me to make wise and creative choices each step of the way with You.
For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe. Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted. Proverbs 2:6-12 NLT
Meditate.
Seek wisdom.
Common
sense. Honesty. Integrity. Faithful. Wisdom. Using all those, how can we make
creative choices? The key is seeking wisdom. God gives us wisdom if we ask for
it.
If you need wisdom, ask our
generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver,
for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is
blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything
from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are
unstable in everything they do. James
1:5-8 NLT
Choices
are up to each of us. If we expect to make good choices, we need wisdom. Wisdom
is from God—so seek Him and ask Him—just as James said—He will give it to us. You’ve
probably heard this advice before…but it is worth repeating—every day if
necessary. Trust and have faith.
Trust in the LORD with all your
heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take. Don't be impressed with your own
wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7 NLT
Trust.
That the basis for making creative choices.
Verse
of Salvation ~ See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be
afraid. The LORD GOD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. Isaiah 12:2 NLT
