Prayer’s laws – Lord Jesus, I choose to listen to You
and obey—to be faithful. You have encouraged me over and over with Your words.
C ontinue to guide me and give me wisdom, understanding, and insight into Your
commands, directives, regulations, and laws.
I lie in the dust; revive me by your word. I told you
my plans, and you answered. Now teach me your decrees. Help me understand the
meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds. I
weep with sorrow; encourage me by your word. Keep me from lying to myself; give
me the privilege of knowing your instructions. I have chosen to be faithful; I
have determined to live by your regulations. I cling to your laws. LORD, don't
let me be put to shame! I will pursue your commands, for you expand my
understanding. Psalm 119:25-32A lizard made these tracks.
Like it...I lie in the desert dust.
Revive me with Your words, Lord.
Meditate. Focus on the Lord God ways and teachings.
Down and out in the dust and dirt. Have you been there? Revive
me and refresh my heart. Having goals is so important in life. David told God
his plans—his goals. Do you ever share with God your plans—what you want to
accomplish? If you include Him in those plans, it is more likely that you will
succeed. A verse in Proverbs that I memorized long ago comes to my mind. Look
this verse up and read the verses before and after it…or the whole chapter. Don’t
depend just on what you know—ask God to help you and do what pleases Him…His
will. Knowing which path to take…what to do…can give insight and may be a
change point in your life.
Trust in the LORD
with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in
all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust God. He is looking for faithful followers. Will you
be one of those? Choices we make every day…actually moment by moment…affect our
life and those around us. If we choose to follow Jesus and live according to
His words, then we are choosing to be obedient, faithful followers.
Verse of Salvation ~ So do not throw away this confident
trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance
is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will
receive all that he has promised. "For in just a little while, the Coming
One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I
will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away." But we are not like those
who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones,
whose souls will be saved. Hebrews 10:35-39
