Prayer – Lord, Your words taste sweet—and I can eat them continually all day long.
Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide. Yes, I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your laws. I am even wiser than my elders, for I have kept your commandments. I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your word. I haven't turned away from your regulations, for you have taught me well. How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. I've promised it once, and I'll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations. ... Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil. Psalm 119:97-106, 133. Read all of Psalm 119:89-136
Meditate. Consider God’s guidance in scripture.
Is God’s word a light to your path…to your heart? Once again, we can reflect on how Jesus is a light to the world, how He said that He is the Light of the world and that His light leads to life (see John 8:12.) Read and study the Psalm for today and other passages. It is amazing how God’s message is intertwined throughout the Bible.
An example of this is discovered in a search of the word “honey” which appears in 59 verses in the Bible (NLT). From today’s passage…How sweet God’s words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. It maybe that honey is important to God since it is mentioned so many times. Below are a few other verses:
I have promised to rescue you from
your oppression in Egypt. I will lead you to a land flowing with milk and honey—the
land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and
Jebusites now live."' Exodus 3:17
The Israelites called the food manna. It was white like coriander seed, and it tasted like honey wafers. Exodus 16:31
Kind words are like
honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. Proverbs 16:24
John's clothes were
woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For
food he ate locusts and wild honey. Matthew 3:4
So I went to the
angel and told him to give me the small scroll. "Yes, take it and eat
it," he said. "It will be sweet as honey in your mouth, but it will
turn sour in your stomach!" Revelation 10:9

Although I have been trying to cut sugar out of my diet, personally, I like honey. My Dad raised bees and so we always had lots of fresh honey. Sugar is poison, but honey is healing. That nectar made by bees is a gift from God. This is another way that God shows He loves us—creating such a delightful substance. His words are sweet. Dig into God’s word and find something that speaks sweetness to your heart.
Verse of Salvation ~ Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this? 2 Corinthians 2:15-16

Arthritis patients can benefit by taking one cup of hot water with two
tablespoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken
daily even chronic arthritis can be cured.

when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey
and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a
week (out of the 200 people so treated) practically 73 patients were totally
relieved of pain—and within a month, most all the patients who could not walk

be cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey
taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.
