Do You Say…“There is no God?”

Prayer – Lord, I believe in You. I know you look down from Heaven and see all humans in all times—the entire human race. There must be some that acknowledge You. I do. Show me any corruption in my life—that I may repent and be restored to You. Will this ultimately happen with Israel? As I read Your Word—I see that at least some in Israel will turn to You—You will restore Your people. Then I will shout for joy…along with Jacob and all of Israel.

Only fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one! Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn't think of praying to God. Terror will grip them, terror like they have never known before. God will scatter the bones of your enemies. You will put them to shame, for God has rejected them. Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When God restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice. Psalm 53:1-6

Meditate. What are you thinking in your heart?

There are foolish people out there who need to turn their hearts to the Lord before it is too late…but instead they say "There is no God." I believe that there is a God—whose handiwork is in the stars at night and the wildflowers all spring and summer. Just the fact that we have four seasons give us a clue that there is some order created in this world. Have you ever seen a nautilus sea shell? Within it there is golden ratio number that is derived by dividing each number by the one before it. It turns out to be the number 1.6180 which is found in every life form, including our own DNA. Pretty awesome! With such intricate mathematics and physics, how can anyone not see God in action during creation? I am amazed.

But no, all have turned away from God—according to David’s Psalm of today. Will those who do evil never learn? A day of reconning will come. Those wicked people who reject God now—and forever—will be sorry that they did not seek God.

I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he appears to set up his Kingdom: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. 2 Timothy 4:1-5

What do you say? There is a God or “There is no God.”

Verses of Salvation ~ Look upon my suffering and rescue me, for I have not forgotten your instructions. Argue my case; take my side! Protect my life as you promised. The wicked are far from rescue, for they do not bother with your decrees. LORD, how great is your mercy; let me be revived by following your regulations. Psalm 119:153-156

(Being rescued is salvation.)

Memory Verse of the Week ~ Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.  Matthew 6:33
