Nothing Can Be Added or Subtracted

Meditate. Consider these words.

And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God's purpose is that people should fear him. What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again. Ecclesiastes 3:14-15

Whatever God does is final. That’s it. Love and war…it is final. We can’t add to it…or take away from whatever God has planned.

Unfortunately we also know from scripture that Satan is in control of the world. He does not control us…just the world. And we know how the story ends…so to speak. God wins.
We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. 1 John 5:19

Tree of Life
Nothing is to be added or taken from God’s plan, His word, or His action. That is God’s intention from the beginning of His relationship with the Israelites to the end of time. Moses gave us an example of God’s proclamation about not adding to or taking away from God’s commandments given to the Israelites in their desert time. It is also commanded in Revelation not to add or take away any of God’s words. Don’t add or subtract…just obey.
Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you. Deuteronomy 4:2

And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book. Revelation 22:18-19
Obedience is the key to a healthy and eternal relationship with the Lord. Know what He expects…and do it.

How is your relationship with the Lord? Do you see yourself obeying the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength?

Prayer – The most important commandment is this: 'Listen, O Israel! The LORD our God is the one and only LORD. And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.' Mark 12:29-30. I praise and love You, Lord, with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Verses of Salvation ~The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation." Psalm 91:14-16
