Three Thousand Posts

Consider your present, your past and your future. What has the Lord taught you? Meditate on these words and His love.
No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Remember, O LORD, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O LORD. The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands. Psalm 25:3-10 NLT

3000
This is post number 3,000 on this blog. I’m not counting the first two which were just to test the process of blogging. Hey—blogging is not difficult—although it can be time-consuming! Letting God’s words flow through me is frequently amazing. He is an awesome, amazing God. He consistently and continually has pointed me on the path to follow…providing scripture and then comments or insights for this blog.

His love lights my life…and has for years. Even before the beginning of this blog, God has been there for me. He is compassionate—living up to His promise to never leave me or forsake me (Deutoronomy 31:6). When I was in college and made some poor choices, He didn’t give up on me—but showed me the right path…and gave me a second chance, a couple of times. Even when I walked through the valley of the shadow of death…He was there for me. He led me in the path of righteousness…for His name sake, proving I can count on His unfailing love. He has taught me to be humble…and how to live to please Him. That is righteous living. I am so blessed. How do you see God working in your life—today…not just ten or twenty years ago? I am challenged by that thought every day. I see His hand of mercy in small ways like no traffic at a stop sign near my house where I prayed once for “no traffic” and I know that He is with family and friends as they deal with health issues for which I have prayed feverantly. He leads me to the appropriate scripture that answers questions, convicts me of mistakes and guides me in the right decisions. His abundant love continues to amaze me. Should I ever take Him or His love for granted? Never. I am so abundantly and intentionally blessed, not just during Lent, but all year…always.

I encourage each of you to seek the Lord. No panic. No fear. No worries. Just ask God for what you need. His love, assurance, help with relationships, finances, or decisions large and small. He is interested in all parts of your life. If you love Him…He will have your back. He will go before you, beside you and behind you. He loves you so much that He gave up His Son just for you…and His Son endured your sin…and mine…dying in a cruel and inhumane way—forsaken by His Father…just for us. That is love.

Prayer ~ Continue to show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
