…those
who love God…. That is the significant
central idea of this verse. It applies only to those who love God. Do you consider yourself part of that group? I want
to do just as Jesus said… And you must love the LORD your God with all your
heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. Mark 12:30. I love God more than life itself. My
goal in life is to please Him—to love Him with all my heart, soul, mind and
strength. Is that your goal also?
Prayer
~ Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit…I want to put You first in every way
in my life…but like Paul…”I have discovered this principle of life—that when I
want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God's law with
all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind.
This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.” Romans
7:21-23. Help me Lord—free me from my sinful nature. Help me to do what is
right…to follow Your teachings and live to please You.
