attitude.
Renew a loyal
spirit within me. – OK Lord—I submit
myself and my life to You—right now.
Do not banish
me from your presence, – I will seek
to know You more, Lord. If I know You more deeply, then I’m in Your presence.
Let it be.
and don't
take your Holy Spirit from me. – Fill me again…and again with Your
Holy Spirit.
Restore to me
the joy of your salvation, – I rejoice…totally joyful…in knowing that my eternal life began when I accepted
You, Lord, as my personal Savior. I don’t have to wait for eternal life—it is
now.
and make me
willing to obey you. – Make me
willing to obey. I am obedient. I love You, Lord.
Are you
seeking a renewed spirit or just the renewal of joy—like what you experienced
when you first received salvation? That salvation was a gift from God…you
didn’t earn it, deserve it nor could you even expect it. God gave it to you—to
each of us—when Jesus died on the cross.
Prayer ~ Jesus, Restore us, O LORD, and
bring us back to you again! Give us back the joys we once had! Lamentations
5:21.
