Which key fits your heart?
Will it unlock the Love?

It became human nature to lie after Adam
and Eve got deceived by Satan. Listen to what they said…“the snake made me do
it.” No. They made the choice. If it is not a good choice, it may be a lie—a little
bend in the truth. We are responsible for our thoughts, words and actions. God
held Adam and Eve accountable for their actions by removing them from the
Garden of Eden and pronouncing punishments on them—labor and pain.
God is not human. God is spirit—Jesus tells
us that clearly when He spoke to the woman at the well.
For God is Spirit, so those who
worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. John 4:24.
In addition, during the last Supper Jesus
told His disciple Thomas that He is the Truth, so we can assume from that that
He cannot lie.
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth,
and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6.
As we go through our Christian walk, we
become more like Jesus Christ. That is God’s goal for us—to be like His Son.
Paul wrote about this his letter to the Ephesians. Like Jesus, we’ll speak the
truth in love.
Then we will no longer be immature like
children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We
will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they
sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing
in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the
church. Ephesians 4:14-15.
That’s a great goal…and a promise from God
that we can claim. To not be influenced and deceived like Adam and Eve, but to
become more like Jesus Christ and speak the truth in love. To follow God’s
commandment…
And this is His commandment: We must believe
in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He
commanded us. 1 John 3:23.
Prayer
~ Dear Jesus…I want to live just as You taught your disciples…to love one
another proves to the world that we are your disciples. John 13:35. Love is the
key to life…a pure life with no deception or lies. A life worth living that
brings You glory.
