God alone understands the way to wisdom; He
knows where it can be found, for He looks throughout the whole earth and sees
everything under the heavens. He decided how hard the winds should blow and how
much rain should fall. He made the laws for the rain and laid out a path for
the lightning. Then He saw wisdom and evaluated it. He set it in place and
examined it thoroughly. And this is what He says to all humanity: 'The fear of
the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.' Job
28:23-28
Job continues his lengthy response to his
friends concerning wisdom. He recognized that the fear of the Lord…which is
actually holy RESPECT and reverence…is really the source of true wisdom.
Without respect for God there would be no wisdom or understanding. He is in
control—all powerful and wise. He’s got the roadmap…the GPS…for the way to
wisdom. GPS – Global Positioning System or God’s Placing Scheme. God has a plan
for our lives—He knows where we’re going—even if we don’t follow the GPS—or she
wants to “recalculate” our trip. God know all about wisdom—true wisdom. He
desires our attention and respect. Worship
the Lord with reverence, and rejoice with trembling. Psalm 2:11. He created us to worship Him. To
worship Him in spirit and in truth. He knows the way to Wisdom. Jesus told us
that He is the Way, the TRUTH, and the
life. John 14:6—and no one gets to the Father without first going to Jesus.
He is the Way to wisdom. Mystery solved.
Prayer
~ Heavenly Father, we respect and adore You. Thank You for the rain…and for
Your wisdom, understanding, and above all…for Your love. Please bless and guide
all those reading this, and may their families feel your presence and rejoice
in knowing You.
