Share the Joy and Hope

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. I am fully convinced, my dear brothers and sisters, that you are full of goodness. You know these things so well you can teach each other all about them. Romans 15:13-14 NLT

Yes, my dear brothers and sisters—in the Lord—I know you are full of goodness. I rejoice each time I see you greet each other with a hug, a smile, and a word of encouragement. It is so obvious that the Holy Spirit is at work in you—flowing into you, filling you with God’s love and enabling you to help others. That is what God’s love is all about—caring for others by showing kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control, patience, faithfulness to God and others, along with year-round joy and peace. Most people are more joyful at this time of the year, but those in God’s family—who seek and serve Him—find joy and peace and share those qualities all year around. Paul encourages the Roman Christians to teach other Christians about God’s love and about the hope that they have through the Holy Spirit. Joyful, joyful, we adore You—God of Glory and of Hope. Without God our lives would be hopeless. What is the level of hope in your life today?

Prayer ~ Holy Spirit, fill us anew today with goodness and hope that only You can give, that we can share our hope and encouragement with others around us.
