No Doubt About It

Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NLT

We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus….Romans 3:21-24. There are a couple of interesting scripture passages about continuing to sin:

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Romans 6:1.

For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins…. Hebrews 10:26.

Don’t fool yourself…or make a fool of yourself. You can be cleaned—miraculously. God is always with us (Hebrews 13:5) so that we don’t have far to go to get forgiveness for our sin. Ask. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8. Call on the name of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit will cleanse you. No doubt about it.

Prayer ~ Holy Spirit, by Your power show us any sin in our lives and cleanse our hearts that we may come closer to God—to know God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in a deeper relationship.
